Eye Glasses

This morning I rolled out of bed and reached for my laptop to check on my email and the status of the files I was uploading to the server.

It was 12am, an hour before my shift starts,  giving me about 15 minutes to spend online. This mad affair has been going on for years and probably for the next  few years as well. Today was different because for a while I couldn’t see the text on the screen. It was all light and fuzzy, with no decipherable characters. (more…)

Nogie, you suck.

A frat brother sent me a link to an article that made me laugh early this morning. It was about Nogie drumming up results of him winning over Sarah Duterte in a mock election held in UP Mindanao.  There were 46 participants only, most of which were his scholars.  Desperate much? (more…)

Shallow

I picked up an old copy of Preview, one I’ve perused countless times. Anne Curtis was on the cover, clad in a sexy pastel colored dress, oozing of class and sex appeal. Inside the magazine I saw more photographs of her and the magazine’s so called beauty must haves. The products on the page were all laid out like candy, asking and begging the reader to head to the nearest beauty bar for a sample of their concoctions. (more…)

10. In the last nine years, there had been no real and substantial increase in the budget of Philippine education, while debt servicing is automatic and a topmost priority.
