All because of the Hayden-Katrina video scandal
This is one crappy post. I know I should just ignore the issue. I’ve watched the video and its the usual rumba of two people in bed made juicier by its pseudo popular characters.
And since its election season once again, Revilla a senator with grandiose ambitions in 2010 (who doesn’t?) decides to jump into this spook wheeled wagon and began sputtering out heavy speeches I could not help but fall asleep. Seriously. Enough grandstanding senator and get started on a legislation that will protect future sex video victims.
When I first learned of the issue I thought Paris Hilton came over and possessed Katrina Halili. And, come to think of it, she’s sporting a Paris Hilton haircut as well. Haha!
In videos and circumstances like this one, the female usually gets the flak. Nobody minds or people hardly notice the male in the picture. But, in the warped sense of the band of “tunay na mga lalake” a video makes you even more manly and most will thump the guy on the shoulder heartily, commending him for the very hot video. For the guy it’s just a souvenir of his sexual prowess. In hayden’s case it’s a souvenir gone bad, having leaked out to the media.
A lot of hooplas going around whether its right or wrong to watch, download, or buy the video. Well, you can’t really blame the people can you? It’s a video of two people having fun, its not like it was rape or there was a kid involved. And besides, half if not most have gotten a glimpse of the video, the cat’s out of the bag already, no use stopping the circulation of the videos. Can you really? At this time and age? I don’t think so.
I remember a few years back when scandals bearing university names proliferated the cell phone crazed pinas, with one girl reportedly committing suicide because of the embarrassment. did any of our politicians react? Did anybody say stop that, you’re sick? No. Why should they? They weren’t celebrities, they didn’t come from prominent families, and it wasn’t election season. They probably had copies of the scandals themselves.
Who should we blame? Katrina, for having fun by engaging in hot sex with Hayden Kho? Hayden for attempting to build his own library of sex videos? Or the person who leaked it all out? Frankly I don’t know, I don’t care. In my opinion Katrina still had an idea that she was being video taped, at least for the dancing. Notice the angle of the camera, it was shaking, probably handheld then became steady as Hayden stood up to sing along with Katrina.
As for the sexual act being videoed, if Hayden fished out his camera to shoot you while dancing in your underwear then that was a big clue already that the guy had a thing for taking videos, be it while dancing in your underwear or dancing under the sheets.
And for Hayden? It was your laptop, your files, you should have taken the steps to protect your privacy as well as your partners.
Then again, my heart goes out to the girls in these videos. The more hoopla, the harder to live it down and it’s not easy, seeing as we live in a country of hypocrites. More so when these hypocrites are out to ride on this issue because of the 2010 elections.
And yes, I did watch the videos, downloaded them from the net. So sue me.

The Filipino audience is totally & hypocritically amused? and must be really entertained to divert their attention from real life issues. This HK sex drama unfolded to the public will become fil-politicians free ride to talk about their service” agenda. the “hoopla” of this event defies no winners except the “perp who publicist this gig. Motives & gain could be money and or vengeance if their mad at HK.
Its a sensational “expose” destroying careers of HK and KH and or partners to HK. Many rhetorics will be delivered gallantly by politicians as intro to 2010 main event.

I meant to correct “publicist” to publicizedthis gig. Motives could really be “$$$$$$$” and or hatred, anger to HK. who could that be? Some one close to him who had access to his laptop?
Intentions? why would he store such private and personal acts in his laptop? what he heck is he thinking?, if he was thinking at all! To share the private acts of his conquest? to sow the seed of his “macho” image? To whom? friends?
HK is an adult performing “juvenile” acts to seek friends approval?
Intentions and motives? SSSSS its a viable rational selling these pieces of beautiful successful female partners in the web? a real possibility, HK is a ticking time bomb! an accident ready to happen!
Lessons that we could learn? stay away from men like HK. Learn from this sad experience! Learn to prequalify your future mate-partners. stay away from men who are married and have successful girlfriends!
Or just be true to yourself, engage in the act only when you are married. And do the act only with your spouse!. There! The 6th commandment!

well, hi mischell. you’d be surprised at the number of men who’d want to film their exploits in bed. I asked a few of my male friends and they admitted to wanting to film their activities in bed. for some reason they find it hot and erotic. maybe kat didnt know, still the cat’s out of the bag now. All they can do is try to live it down.
and, i beg to disagree. catholics and other people might find it ideal to engage in sex once you’re married but reality is, people have needs and at the same time have fun.
Getting married to satisfy those needs is stupid, if not hilarious. Me? I’d rather test the guy first in bed rather than find out later that he cant give you the big O. But of course, that’s just my opinion.

Nice points that you got there (I envy you for your writing style, our’s literally s*ck). I don’t know what to say about this issue anymore. Everyone who is involved in it, Katrina, Hayden, the person who spread it, the politicians, the media, and probably most of us who watched it are wrong, and we cannot deny but face that naked truth.
The media made the buzz, but the people followed, blame the media, but it’s still the people who decided to follow and look for the video. After all, it goes down that everyone is guilty, but just at different weights. Yet, as we (my bes and I) say it.
If a clean sheet of paper has a dirty spot on it, it’s still dirty.

like this article.And I really couldn’t care less about the issue anymore.More and more people are getting involved-I just hope the issue about Aling Dionesia and Hayden Kho is not true.lol.
i think belo has got a lot to do with the dissemination of the video -and that’s prolly why she flew to Europe.

Kudos to this post. I felt the same on the “publicity” act of our authorities. If Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho were just normal citizens, things would not have escalated to this. But noo, they were celebrities and sadly, our news and masses like these kinds of stories. In the end, they made it more famous and made more people aware of its existence by putting it on media.

yeah, your right! there are a lot of people riding on this issue just because they also want publicity for the mere fact that the 2010 election is coming. They are trying to fool again less fortunate filipinos who easily controlled by those persons who posses powers and in fact they are taking advantage to there ignorance about politics.
there are a lot of issue that must be on there priority lists. Education, health, poverty, and most especially graft and corruption. We all know that Philippines was considered as one of the most corrupt countries in asia.
Why dont they focus on that issue before jumping to another just like on HK scandal. if they were able to resolve this issue (HK scandal) will this give jobs and other opportunities to those unemployed filipinos, will it give food to those children whose starving for hunger, will it give cure to those filipinos who are suffering from illness and near to death due it wasnt seen nor it wasnt provided time to heal the pain particularly to those people who lives in the place without eletricity and having a hard time getting clean water to drink.
however, im not saying that this issue could be ignored because this will protect the women’s right and what i am trying to say here is to try open there eyes to others issues that needs to be resolved.

The video is a given act of two private people in the passion of “love/lust”. The intent of HK to “collate” & document this personal private act is “questionable”. It becomes malicious & criminal to publicize the video w/o consent fr partners. HK violated trust & respect fr Halili-& other sex partners. Katrina had no clue that taping was on the “actual sex engagement”. this is based on camera position & HK trying to position Katrina on the side of bed insted on the middle of bed. Hayden” needs a brain surgery and shld pay for damages of his wrongdoing>
